    Northeast Tarrant County puts you close to fantastic sports and recreation with easy access to tBrahmashe famous Fort Worth Stockyards (5 minutes), Texas Motor Speedway (20 minutes), Arlington and the Dallas Cowboys, Texas Rangers and Six Flags (20 minutes), and Downtown Dallas and the Dallas Mavericks (30 minutes).

    Area visitors and residents enjoy both professional and minor league sporting teams. Professional sports venues include impressive Cowboys Stadium and Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, American Airlines Center and soccer venue FC Dallas Stadium. Minor league sports include the Brahmas, a professional Central hockey league team based in North Richland Hills; and the Fort Worth Cats of the United Baseball League playing at LaGrave Field in Ft Worth.

    Recreation choices are numerous and some of the best include NRH2O water Park in North Richland Hills, the Fort Worth Stockyards featuring Billy Bob’s, Six Flags in Arlington, Fossil Rim Wildlife Center and Southfork Ranch.

    Area public golf choices include Iron Horse Golf Course (voted best public golf course for 10 years in a row by local media), Texas Star (this serene public golf course has a private feel with 275 acres of plush fairways, magnificent views, stacked rock ponds, waterfalls and natural woodlands) and The Golf Club at Fossil Creek (designed by Arnold Palmer and featuring gorgeous rolling fairways and holes intertwined throughout streams in a natural setting). Private golf membership is available at Diamond Oaks Country Club, featuring an 18-hole championship golf course with one of the best layouts in the area. The golf course is named after a 150-year old Oak Tree that still resides on the 15th hole.
     
    In Fort Worth, don’t miss the Fort Worth Zoo, great museum choices, the Fort Worth Nature Center and Refuge and Stockyards Station and the Herd Cattle Drive. Also nearby is the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame, River Legacy Living Science Center and downtown Arlington.
