Texas Scholars is an annual program where Chamber member volunteers present to eighth grade students at all BISD middle schools about the importance of working hard in school, and selecting challenging courses for their high school schedules.
The program has proven to be a very rewarding opportunity for member volunteers who don’t often get to present to area students. The presentation is set up in advance by BISD and then coordinated by the Chamber. The schools set up the overall presentation so that the member volunteers are just able to show up and present the materials.
